Malawi Bureau of Standards (MBS) has sponsored the Malawi Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) Top of Class programme with MK10 milllion kwacha in a partnership deal. Through the partnership MBS intends to raise awareness on issues of standards and quality through the programme.

Speaking during the signing ceremony at MBS Head Office in Blantyre, Director General Bernard Thole, said the partnership will help MBS in raising awareness about its services including promotion of standards and quality assurance to ensure that the public are well informed of the national quality infrastructure in Malawi. “MBS desires to create a quality culture at national level hence targeting the youth is the most effective way to inculcate quality in the society”, he said.

On his part, MBC Director General, George Kasakula hailed the partnership as timely since it will help in the production to come up with quality programme which is  expensive to run with limited resources.
