MBS INDUSTRIAL RESEARCH, TRAINING AND CONSULTANCY UNIT (IRTACU) SCHEDULED TRAINING PROGRAM ON MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS

 

JANUARY- JUNE, 2024      

 

The Malawi Bureau of Standards (MBS) is pleased to announce training courses in Quality Management Systems; Food Safety Management Systems; Food and Personal Hygiene; Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems, Laboratory Management and Quality Management Systems Auditing to be offered from January-June, 2024 at MBS Head Office in Blantyre as follows:

3 Food and Personal Hygiene according to MS 21:Food and food processing units-Code of hygienic conditions Food handlers

Those in food production and processing facilities i.e supervisors, food handlers, managers and management

19-23 February, 2024 2 days
4 Laboratory Management Systems Development and Implementation based MS-ISO 17025:2017 Personnel working in testing and

calibration laboratories and

Instrumentation workshops.

18-22 March 2024 4.5 days
5 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems Development and Implementation based on MS-ISO 45001:2018 Those responsible for

Occupational health and safety(OHS) of the operations and processes, key in the

development of OHS Management System, i.e Supervisors, Managers and Management representatives

6 Quality Management Systems Auditing based on MS-ISO 19011:2018 and MS-ISO 9001:2015 Same as those in 2.

Note: Prerequisite is participation  and a pass in the exams for course no 2

7 Hazard Analysis Critical Control

Point (HACCP) Food Safety

System according to MS 300

Venue: The training courses will be held at MBS Head Office in Chichiri behind the Trade Fair Grounds. However, participants MUST register at least one week before they participate in each course. The MBS will be responsible for arranging conference facilities including training room, refreshments and lunches.
